Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso has cautioned the youth against investing their whole life in love affairs.
Laboso was reacting to a recent bizarre attack of a medical student at Moi University, Ivy Wangeci, who was hacked to death by her alleged boyfriend.

Speaking at a youth function held at a hotel in Bomet Town on Friday, April 12, Laboso said cases of young people committing suicide and killing each other over relationship issues had become rampant and there was need for society to provide guiding and counseling sessions.
"We are witnessing a very strange phenomena in our country today where young men are killing their girlfriends in broad daylight, as a society we need to advise this generation on how to deal with relationship issues,"said Laboso
The county boss advised those who were in troubled relationships to consider quieting before things got out of hand.

"Young ladies, when you see a partner of yours, a friend, a boyfriend starting to behave in a certain manner that is unlike them before, it is good you run away very quickly,"she added

Her sentiments were echoed by renown economist and political strategist David Ndii who advised young men stop investing their money in relationship.
