Otieno Oyoo Secondary school in Kisumu county became the latest institution to be indefinitely following disquiet among students as wave of violence among learners hit crescendo. Others Maranda High school, Ambira Boys' High School, Ngi'ya Girls' High school, Kisumu Girls' high School and Maliera Boys' Secondary school. At Ambira Boys' High School, property of unknown value was consumed after striking students torched down a dormitory on the night of Thursday, July 5. Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang on Wednesday, July 4, cautioned learners against causing mayhem in schools and warned culprits would be treated as criminals.
