The Kenya School of Government (KSG) is a State Corporation that offers management training courses, research, consultancy and advisory services to employees in the public sector. In recent times, the institution has also embarked on offering education to players in the private sector, NGOs, national and county governments. The Kenya School of Government courses are available in Nairobi (Lower Kabete), Baringo, Embu, Matuga and Mombasa campuses. The course targets finance managers and accountants who have had a minimum of three years of experience working on projects financed by the World Bank.
A qualified candidate must have a higher diploma in finance or accounting. The course duration is two weeks and is available online through KSGï¿½s e-learning development institute.
The course targets officers who handle procurement and asset disposal in an organization. Public procurement deals with the purchase of works, goods and services owned by the state or government institutions.
Interested individuals can apply to take on the course at any of the six KSG campuses. An applicant must have a higher diploma in a relevant field of study. The course duration is five days and the mode of study is full time.
One of the many short courses offered by KSG is Cyber Security. The course trains professionals on the different ways of spotting vulnerabilities, responding to emergencies immediately they happen and fending off attacks.

It targets IT professionals in the private sector, national government and county governments handling cyber or information security. The course duration is one week and qualified candidates will take on the course online through KSGï¿½s e-learning development institute.
The course trains individuals involved in the development of existing and new projects to predict and assess the possible environmental and social impacts of their projects. They also train to evaluate alternative and design the correct management, monitoring and mitigation measures.
Decision makers who finance, evaluate and appraise projects can also take on this course. It is a one week course and candidates will be training from the Kenya School of Government Nairobi. One must have a relevant higher diploma and hold any of the positions mentioned above to qualify for the course.
The course targets managers who chair or take minutes in meetings. This is a five-day course and individuals who wish to take part can enroll at the Kenya School of Government Lower Kabete campus. The tuition fee is usually KSH 29,000 for residents and KSH 18,850 for non-residents.

Strategic Human Resource Management is one of the many tools organizations need to achieve their goals. KSG offers the course to managers who understand the necessity of knowing more about human resource issues.
