Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula shared a platform at a major church event in Kisumu on Saturday, January 12.
Ruto had earlier hinted he would personally attend the installation of Reverend Philip Ayolo as the new Archbishop of Kisumu Diocese.

Archbishop Ayolo had also invited President Uhuru Kenyatta to grace the event.
Ruto had earlier disclosed he would grace the occasion when he attended Father Pius Likhales silver anniversary at Mabanga Primary school in Bungoma county on December 15.

Ayolo, who until his promotion as Archbishop of Kisumu was the Bishop in charge of Homa Bay Diocese was amongst several other clerics in attendance.
Ruto pledged to buy the bishop a brand new high end car to enable Archbishop Ayolo crisscross Western Kenya with ease while doing the work of God.
"We will ensure he gets a posh and latest make car that will enable him traverse the region doing God's work. I can guarantee you that we shall be the first people to get to Kisumu for the event even before these leaders from Western find their way to the venue, said Ruto.
A reunion between Ruto and perceived political competitors at the church function is being eagerly awaited by many since it comes in the wake of a storm that almost tore a part ruling Jubilee party.
Ruto and Railas allies have been exchanging barbs over the instability in Jubilee.
Raila has since dismissed Rutos assertion that his truce with Uhuru was meant to stifle the DPs chances of succeeding his boss in 2022.
